The Company
Rubesh and Carrie Jacobs, an enterprising husband and wife team, founded SRJacobs & Company with the goal of leveraging their talents and experience to capitalize on new and diverse economic opportunities. They are currently pursuing a number of ventures.
The Founders
S. Rubesh Jacobs was most recently vice president and director of strategy and planning at State Auto Insurance Companies, a $2 billion property and casualty insurance company. Prior to that he was a principal with Diamond Management and Technology Consultants. He joined Diamond from Nationwide, a Fortune 100 insurance and financial services company where he started his career and was eventually named Chief Operating Officer of BlueSpark, a technology subsidiary for Nationwide’s small business clients. He was born in Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka and educated at Trinity College, Kandy. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Economics and Computer Science from Ohio Wesleyan University and an MBA from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business. He has also continued executive education at Harvard, MIT, The Wharton School, and Chicago Graduate School of Business.
Carrie Jacobs is currently director of strategy, innovation and merger and acquisition integration at a health and productivity subsidiary of Fortune 500 Company. Prior to that she was a business consultant for the Strategic Investments division and served in a critical role in the formation of healthcare subsidiary. She was responsible for strategy and business development, merger and acquisition activities to form subsidiary as well. Previously she held positions within Nationwide including, Consultant of Strategy Planning for the Office of Corporate Strategy, business project management for Nationwide Financial. She holds a BA in Mathematics and Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University and an MBA from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
Philanthrophy
Rubesh and Carrie are currently starting up an organization, Heel Cancer, to fund canine cancer research. They recently lost one of their Yellow Lab, Taylor to cancer. The other, Skylar, is the public relations chief for this venture!
